There is no better way to create costumes for a masquerade party than by taking inspiration from the famous Venetian Carnival! According to legend, the Carnival began after the military victory of the Venetian Republic over the Patriarch of Aquileia, in the year 1162.
Tradition remains, but costumes evolve. The focus is on the head pieces, where materials such as organza, lace, feathers and fans were used. The skirts were created using petticoats, embellished with flowers and fringes, keeping the top open while maintaining a sultry look.
